Siro, also known as The Greatest Mortal Kombat Character, is one of the three main heroes in the live action TV show Mortal Kombat: Conquest alongside Kung Lao and Taja. Throuought the series, he has gained multiple titles and nicknames from Phelous.
He was played by Daniel Bernhardt.
Personality[]
Siro is arguably supposed to be a ''jerk with a heart of gold'' type of character as he is hot-headed, rude, prideful and willing to torture and kill his enemies. However he has also a strong sense of honor and duty as a bodyguard to Baron Leyland, the late owner of the Trading Post, and a loyal and reliable friend to Kung Lao and Taja.
During the series, he has shown good martial arts skills, not so good detective skills (earning him the ironic title of Sirolock the Greatest Mortal Kombat Detective), and even some rocket science skills.
History[]
He met Baron Reyland, owner of the nameless city trading post, and was hired as the bodyguard for his daughter, Jen. In his line of duty, he meets Kung Lao, Jen’s lover and champion of the last Mortal Kombat tournament, and Taja, a thief who was caught trying to rob them and was pressed into the Baron's servitude as punishment. Siro was fired and banished after he failed to prevent Kung Lao from seeing Jen. In his banishment, he encounters a beggar who is actually the thunder god Raiden in disguise, who warned him that Jen was in danger because of Shang Tsung's scheme.
As Siro returned to the trading post and found Kung Lao and Taja, the trio is ambushed by Baron Reyland and his guards. In the melee, Takeda, Siro's replacement, kills the Baron, takes Jen hostage and reveals he is actually Conquest's incarnation of Scorpion, sent by Shang Tsung to kill Kung Lao. Scorpion attacks the group and is defeated, but not before he kills Jen. Siro, feeling responsible for her death, aligns himself with Kung Lao and Taja to train new heroes to protect Earthrealm from evil in the next tournament. Throughout the series Siro is considered the more lighthearted character of the three, but also a stubborn and arrogant one. While most of the fights in the show were won by Kung Lao, Siro often becomes frustrated and even goes so far as to slay two mystical warriors that would have given him great power as told by the reptilian fortunetellers Kiri and Ankha. Kiri ended up tricking Siro into releasing her own personal warrior, Noob Saibot, who is eventually defeated by the three. By the end of the series Siro, Kung Lao and Taja are shown to be killed by Shao Kahn's Shadow Priests. However, due to the cancellation of the show, it is unknown if any of them are really dead. Although plans from the second season revealed that they would have been resurrected by the Elder Gods.
