Skara is a recurring minor character of The Owl House. She is a student at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics under the bard track.
She was voiced by Kimberly Brooks.
Personality[]
Skara is very sociable, most of the time she can be seen spending time in the presence of classmates from Hexaid, members of her sports team and close friends. Despite participating in random pranks, often provoked by Boscha, as well as the fact that Amity calls her bad, Skara turned out to be much kinder than she seems. In the aforementioned episode "Understanding Willow", Skara is curious to find out if Amity and Willow were friends once, only for Amity to coldly reject her, to which Skara dutifully replies that she is just curious. Another example of her more supportive attitude can be seen in "Wing It Like Witches", where Skara, like the rest of the banshees, expressed regret over Boscha's ruthless bullying of Luz after the latter reluctantly lost the match and agreed to participate in his shooting training. Although the Banshees did their best to win the final match, and despite coming out victorious, Skara praised Willow and Luz for their skills during the match.
Appearance[]
Skara is a young witch with brown skin, eyes with gray irises, pointed ears and hair of pinkish-gray and dark purple shades, gathered in a tail.
She wears a gray dress uniform, common for Hexside students, with a black belt and a black hood fastened with a gold clasp on top. Her leggings and sleeves are red, the colors denoting the Bard's runway. She also wears gold stud earrings.
Biography[]
When she was younger, Skara was chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Blight. Blythe becomes friends with his daughter Amity. This happened because Skara's parents were friends from working with Blights. At first, Amity hesitated, saying that Skara was "bad", but her mother and father forced her to do this by severing ties with her old friend Willow. Initially, Skara is depicted walking under the banner of Spirits in a wide shot during "I was a disgusting teenager."
Skara returns to the "Great Sabbath", alternately exploring the stand of the "Coven of Stylists" and then the stands of the "Coven of Prose", presumably as a potential candidate. It is unclear if he settled on any of them. During the duel between Amity and Luz, she can be seen looking into the ranks, and when King falls into a pit in the arena, one of his hats falls on her head.
In "Hooty's Moving Hassle", she is pictured posing behind Amity and Boscha in a Penstagram photo.
In "Once Upon A Swap", she is one of the two Hexside women behind Boscha. Skara is seen on the street with a potion student who was grabbed by a tentacle.
Later, when King (in "The Light Corps") steals shoes from one of the boys, he takes the bag from Skara, and then calls her and the girl with the plants "impressionable young people."
Later, Eda notices that Skara is receiving instructions from a girl who was a member of the Human Research Association. Eda comments, "They're as bad as Luz!" after they got along merrily.
Skara is seen at the beginning of "Sanity and Resentment" participating in an essay contest and then forming a "people's chair" with a plant girl while Eileen watches. She and the plant girl are the first to rush in search of King's book, and after everyone runs away with a copy, Skara sneaks up and picks up the cardboard image of King, picks it up and kisses him on the nose before turning and running out.
In "Understanding Willow," she invites Boscha and Amity to her 15th birthday party. Her invitations were made of real butterflies, much to Boscha's disappointment.
In the "Enchanting Grom Fright", she is invited on a date at Grom, and she agrees.
