Elijah "Smoke" Moore is the deuteragonist of the 2025 action horror film Sinners. He and his twin brother Stack owned a sawmill turned juke joint to gather almost everyone to enjoy. He was soon forced to fight after an Irish vampire came to form his own army from the sin-making music from his cousin Sammie.

He was portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, who also played his twin brother Stack.

History

Biography

Smoke is a layered figure — a veteran, criminal returnee, loving ex-husband, cultural advocate, and ultimately a self-sacrificing defender. Unlike Stack’s swagger and moral ambiguity, Smoke’s guiding light is the community he builds and protects, even when it means laying down his life.
