The Soldier in the Back Alley is the unnamed minor protagonist featured in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, its alternate version Master Quest, and in the 3D remake as well.
History[]
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]
After Link receives the Ocarina of Time from Princess Zelda during her escape, he then goes to the Back Alley and sees a dying soldier, who encounters him by recognizing him from Zelda's descriptions as "The Forest Boy". The soldier talks about how he was among the soldiers trying to protect Zelda and Impa from Ganondorf and his army, and the soldier then with his final breath orders Link to go to the Temple of Time before passing away. If Link tries to continue talking to him, Navi informs him "He's not moving anymore."
Link goes to Temple of Time, places the three Spiritual Stones to open the Door of Time, and then gets the Master Sword in order to avenge the Soldier who died from mortal wounds.
Link manages to get the Six Sages to aid in defeating Ganondorf, thus avenging the Soldier. Afterwards, Link then returns to his childhood to find a precious friend.
