Solitaire is a supporting antagonist/tragic villain turned main heroine of the James Bond film Live and Let Die. She is the primary villains forced hench woman, who turns to the side of good after being persuaded by Bond. She is the primary Bond girl of the film.
In the film she was portrayed by Jane Seymour.
Film biography
Solitaire in the James Bond film, Live and Let Die was one of Mr.Big's (the film's villain) subordinates via being his personal psychic who could predict the future. This is illustrated through her use of tarot cards when predicting Bond's arrival to New York City via an aeroplane and his journey in full speculative detail, told to Mr.Big. One of the drawbacks from being a psychic, it that Solitaire must remain a virgin to preserve her powers.
After Bond and Felix Liter have arrived to the Fillet of Soul restaurant in Harlem then Bond getting lure into Mr.Big's office, Solitaire introduces herself to Bond then he asks her about the future. When Solitaire pulls out a lovers cards, Bond quizzically asks, "us?", foreshadowing their future romance in the film.
