Martin LaTierri, more commonly known as Sonny, is a character from Grease and a member of the T-Birds. His girlfiend is Marty Maraschino. In the 1978 movie, he is portrayed by Michael Tucci, in the 2016 live performance by Andrew Call, and in the 2017 play version by Alex Coppleman (alongside his co-star and singer, Tanya Thurlby whom played Coppleman's love interest).

Sonny is the funny smartass T-Bird, he likes to joke around. He has a crush on Marty but she doesn't seem to reciprocate until the end of the movie.
Sonny is Italian, cocky, and "takes no crap from nobody" - except for Principal McGee. He can be a bit of a jerk, razzing Rizzo when Kenickie and the T-Birds picked her up at Frenchy's house.
At the National Dance-Off, he spiked the punch with whiskey - replying "Washing my hands" when queried by Mr.Rudie.
During the Hand Jive scene, presumed to be a bit drunk, he cut in while Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsen, pulling her away from Danny, allowing Cha-Cha to cut in.
