Once upon a time, there was a shark that lived in the deep blue sea. This curious swimmer often popped up to the surface to watch the pirates party on their ships. The shark yearned to join the Cookies for these parties, but they always ran away. Saddened, the shark disappeared into the sea for ages. Until suddenly... Sorbet Shark Cookie burst forth from the depths! This Cookie is, frankly, not the fastest runner, can only make bubbly noises instead of words, and gets soggy in the water just like everyone else. But even so, Sorbet Shark Cookie is always wearing a bright smile! After all, the world above the sea is vast and there's so many things to see!

Background[]
Very much like their inspired character, Sorbet Shark Cookie loved watching pirates on their boats from underwater. For a very long time they always dreamed about gaining the abilities to walk on land in order to become a pirate cookie. However because of their current appearance, they would scare them away, making them quite lonely.
They later on fulfilled their wish by having Black Pearl Cookie grant them legs to walk, but losing their voice, only making bubble noises. Once on land Sorbet Shark cookie appears to be a very cheerful and excited individual that immediately joined the Durianeers pirates.

No pirating today! Instead, here is the kingdom's cutest rookie who will guide you through the treacherous waves!
They are the second cookie in the game along with Sea Fairy Cookie to be inspired from The Little Mermaid, mainly from the 1989 Disney version. Having the same wish and story as Ariel wanting to gain legs to walk on the land to meet someone she saw on the boat and then exchanged her speech for the abilities to walk. The reference is shown in the Tropical Soda Island storyline when it's shown as Sorbet Shark Cookie was singing a parody version of the original Disney song, "Part of Your World" along with Ariel Cookie in the Disney Crossover trailer.
Furthermore, it's revealed that Black Pearl Cookie was the one that gave Sorbet Shark Cookie their abilities to walk just like the witch Ursula did to Ariel. However it is unknown whether she also took Sorbet Shark Cookie’s voice in exchange like Ursula did to Ariel.
Sorbet Shark Cookie is one of the few Cookies in the franchise that can't talk only while on land, however they recover their abilities to talk after reverting back to their shark form.
