In the alternate Shattered Glass Transformers universe where the Autobots are evil and the Decepticons are heroic, Soundwave is the morale officer and communications expert of the bold Decepticons. He is a white reskin of Soundwave's usually devious tone, has the same pack of couragous cassettes, but has the personality polar opposite of the original Soundwave. Instead of being an emotionless bore with a robotic vocoder voice, Soundwave is an upbeat benefactor who speaks in a comical surfer lingo.
History[]
Soundwave made his first appearances in the original Shattered Glass comic, aiding Starscream's plan to disable the Ark. As well as this, in Dungeons and Dinobots, he called in the Mayhem Suppression squad during the battle for the Arch-Ayr fuel dump. In Do Over, Soundwave was informed by Starscream that Slugfest and Overkill were missing. Soundwave checked the security tapes, but found only minor glitches. The two Dinocons were soon discovered, having transformed into octaltrack data cartridges. When boarding the Nemesis, Cliffjumper assigned Soundwave to the comm. Soundwave brought with him his usual complement of tapes as well as Slugfest and Overkill. Soundwave manned the comm throughout the clash with the Ark. He volunteered to stay and help Starscream guide the damaged Nemesis down to Earth, but Cliffjumper insisted that Soundwave seek the safety of an escape pod, because he would need to contact Cybertron. Soundwave fled in an escape pod before the Nemesis crashed, but was left in stasis lock when it landed. He was found by Heatwave, who reactivated his pod. it scanned a nearby van to serve as his alt mode, and woke Soundwave up. The reawakened Soundwave tore a flag from a nearby pole and used it as his hachimaki, then detonated the stasis pod as the pair of them set out to find their fallen comrades.
Personality[]
Soundwave is very calm, intelligent, and patient. Like most Decepticons, he's more than willing to put his life on the line to save humans.

- Soundwave's slang laden dialogue makes him resemble his G1 rival Blaster, as well as Cybertron Soundwave.
