Alan (アラン, Aran^?), also known as Space Sheriff Alan (宇宙刑事アラン, Uchū Keiji Aran^?), is a minor character of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in both episodes 30 and 31. He is a Space Sheriff who is tasked to rescue Princess Rin from Makuu's clutches and bring her back to Planet Beeze.

He is portrayed by Hiroshi Miyauchi, who also portrayed as Shiro Kazami in Kamen Rider V3, Akira Shinmei in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Ken Hayakawa in Kaiketsu Zubat, Sokichi Banba in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, and Shunsuke Masaki in Rescue Police Trilogy series.

Biography[]

Discovering that Princess Rin was captured by the Space Crime Organization Makuu after her younger brother is making an alliance with them to take over her throne, he went off to Planet Earth to save her and bring her back to Planet Beeze.

When Retsu was about to get killed by San Dorva while he was restrained by Keibi Doubler, Alan managed to stop them from doing so by shooting on the ground. After taking off his cowboy outfit, he managed to single-handedly defeated the group of Crushers and unleashing his flash blade before throwing it on the ground while Retsu fought against the Keibi Doubler. He then command Retsu to transform into Gavan, which allows him to defeat the Keibi Doubler. Later, Alan introduced himself to Retsu and asked for his help, for which the latter eagerly accepts.

At the woods, both Alan and Retsu were ambushed by the group of Crushers before a mysterious man named Waara went to fought the former. While fighting, Alan was crippled in the leg after Waara shoot an arrow at him and Retsu had to save him from getting killed. When he was brought into Dolgiran to have his leg recovered, Alan refused to stay behind and keeps on insisting to rescue Princess Rin until he heard her lullaby which he was lured into a carnival where he was attacked by the Makuu.

When Retsu arrived to help him, both Alan and Retsu are horrified to discover that Rin is trapped in the roller coaster and was about to be taken to Makuu. When Retsu was dragged by Witch Kiba, Alan attempt to rescue him but only to let go off his grip thanks to Saimin Doubler's (who is actually Waara in disguise) intervention. After Retsu transformed into Gavan and defeated Saimin Doubler, Alan is overjoyed that Rin was finally saved and turned back to normal.

Before they left back to Planet Beeze, both Alan and Princess Rin bids farewell to Retsu, with the latter asked him to come visit her home planet someday.
