Peter Benjamin Parker, also known as Spider-Man, is the titular main protagonist of the 2010 action-adventure video game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and it's 2011 spinoff sequel Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

He is voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, who previously portrayed Peter Parker in the 2003 adult animated superhero television series Spider-Man: The New Animated Series.

History[]

Shattered Dimensions[]

Spider-Man confronted Mysterio after an attempt to steal the Tablet of Order and Chaos and during their fight, he accidentally broke the tablet. This resulted in Madame Web appearing and later explaining to him that pieces of the tablet shattered across various realities.

Mysterio, who had a fragment, would track down Spider-Man to Madame Web's base and threatened to kill her unless he handed over the other fragments. He tried to avoid giving him the fragments, but the tablet reassembled itself in Mysterio's hands. Mysterio would then change the world to his image, but Madame Web was able to teleport the other Spider-Men (Ultimate, 2099 and Noir) and help Peter beat Mysterio. Unlike 2099 and the Ultimate Spider-Men, Noir told Peter that there was a future and hoped the Spider-Men would continue the good fight, to which Ultimate Spider-Man responded "word". Spider-Man hoped to meet up with them again and jokingly stated he wanted to start a "bridge club" with them.

Edge of Time[]

When Walker Sloan returned back in time, he made a timeline where Peter's counterpart worked for Alchemax. His Mary Jane eventually died and left his future self to get control of the timestream and avoid his past mistakes. However, his plans were stopped and when he was sucked into the same portal Sloan used to return back in time along with Atrocity, the timestream returned back to normal and the memories of that reality's Peter returned to this Peter Parker.

Death and Legacy[]

While the downfall of the heroic age took place, Spider-Man was allegedly killed by Doctor Octopus.

At some point, Peter Parker's identity became public. Like many of his fellow heroes, Spider-Man became commercialized, with toys of himself being sold and eight movies featuring him. Despite this, he was "worshipped", as Madame Web described it, by people who wanted a return to the Heroic Age. In 2099, he would be succeeded as Spider-Man by Miguel O'Hara.

Powers and Abilities[]

Spider-Man has superhuman attributes and other abilities associated with a spider after getting bitten by a radioactive spider. He also possesses a "Spider-Sense", which warns him of danger and allows him to predict various enemy attacks with relative ease, the ability to crawl on walls, and the ability to organically shoot webs. Madame Web then gave Peter new "web-slinging powers" such as sensing the location of the fragments of the Tablet of Order and Chaos, giving him X-Ray vision that allows him to see through objects, locate enemies, and discern structural weaknesses.
