Template:Anti-Hero Infobox Spike the Bee is a fictional character in the Mickey Mouse franchise.

He often tormented Donald Duck in several cartoons in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He also tormented Pluto in Bubble Bee.


Spike is a hard-working bee who collects honey for his hive and hates being insulted or abused (especially by Donald), which he would retaliate by trying to sting his opposers (mainly Donald) and usually becomes the victor in the end.

Heroic Acts

  • He protects the hive and saves the honey from Donald Duck in Bee on Guard (1951).
  • He saves his girlfriend from Donald who tries to kill her with a flyswatter in Let's Stick Together (1952).
  • He saves Mickey Mouse from an angry swarm of his companions by giving a dramatic speech (all in buzz language with subtitles) in the Mickey Mouse (2013) episode "Bee Inspired".
