Spyro is the main protagonist of the Netflix TV series Skylanders Academy, based on both the Spyro the Dragon franchise and its spinoff series Skylanders.

He is a Purple Dragon who was orphaned as an egg after his dragonkind, including his parents, were sent to another dimension by Master Eon following a war between darkness and light before he hatched. He was raised by Eon and had been attending the Skylanders Academy ever since he was young, soon becoming a member of the Skylanders and fights for his home against Kaos and other forces of darkness while trying to figure out what happened to his dragonkind.

Due to being raised by Eon ever since he was a child, he is Eon and Kassondra's adoptive son, Kaos' adoptive brother and Strykore's adoptive nephew.

He was voiced by Justin Long while in his dark form, he was voiced by Jason Ritter.
