Stacy X (born Miranda Leevald), who was more recently known as Ripcord, is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe.

Overview[]

Originally a mutant working at a brothel in Nevada, Stacy X became a member of the X-Men using her Pheromone powers to help out her team. Depowered during M-Day she joined the New Warriors and recently she resurfaced with her powers returned in Vengeance.

Origin[]

Stacy X first appeared at the X-Ranch, a brothel for mutants with unique powers that would fit at such a locale. Her powers included mainly increasing the healing of her team and the ability to seduce men or make them violently ill. While most of the mutants there did not need to touch their customers Stacy needed to have contact in order for her powers to work. Soon after the destruction of the X-Ranch by the Church Of Humanity Stacy X joined the X-Men.

Powers and abilities[]

Stacy had snake-like, scaly skin that gave her an unknown degree of durability. She could control other's pheromones through skin contact, producing sensations and physical reactions in anyone she touches. She was able to heal others by speeding up their healing process, and could increase their stamina so that they wouldn't tire easily, giving her teammates rushes of adrenaline.

Stacy is an expert fighter, able to give even Wolverine a fair challenge, despite being beaten by him.[volume & issue needed] However, this skill appears to be learned and not mutant in nature.

Since joining the New Warriors, as Ripcord, she has been given a special armor which has extensible, super-strong, metal tentacles that extend from her wrists and can be used as weapons. She is also equipped with web shooters, frog springs, and a Slyde suit.

Other versions[]

Ultimate Marvel []

Ultimate Stacy X is introduced in Ultimate X-Men as the girlfriend of Mastermind, and stays with him in the cell where he is currently impersonating Magneto, replacing Mystique (who was doing the same after he escaped during the events of the "Magnetic North" storyline).[14] In Ultimate Comics: X-Men she is seen in Camp Angel, camps where mutants are forced to live by the government in the aftermath of the Ultimatum Wave. She considers herself a political prisoner of war and urges mutants into revolution.
