Biography[]
As a young Ravager, Ogord crossed paths with fellow Ravager Aleta, and they spent many years journeying together. Despite Ogord’s deep affection and love for Aleta, he often found her unpredictable and dangerous, making it difficult for him to trust her fully. Nevertheless, their bond grew, and they eventually married, becoming captains of their respective Ravager clans.
Years earlier, Ogord had rescued Yondu Udonta from a brutal life as a Kree battle slave and welcomed him into the Ravagers. However, Ogord later uncovered that Yondu had accepted a contract from Ego to deliver Ego's children, violating the Ravager code, which strictly prohibited child trafficking. Reluctantly, Ogord was forced to exile Yondu from the Ravagers, despite his personal turmoil over the decision.
Later, Ogord and his clan visited the Iron Lotus for leisure but left upon encountering Yondu, refusing to acknowledge him. He informed the establishment's madam that serving Yondu’s exiled clan cost her the patronage of other Ravager clans. Yondu, angered by Ogord's rejection, confronted him, leading to a heated argument. Ogord fiercely rebuked Yondu, condemning his actions as a betrayal of the Ravager code. Though it pained him, Ogord declared Yondu and his clan permanently exiled, refusing to grant them the honor of recognition in death.
Following Yondu’s heroic sacrifice during the Battle on Ego’s Planet to save Peter Quill, Rocket reached out to the Ravagers to share the story. Moved by Yondu’s bravery and redemption, Ogord forgave him. He and the other Ravager captains attended Yondu’s funeral, saluting him in traditional Ravager fashion and symbolically restoring his honor.
Afterwards, Ogord decided to reunite his old team for new adventures. Alongside his wife, Aleta, and Martinex, he welcomed Charlie-27, Krugarr, and Mainframe into the fold, all eager to resume their thieving escapades. Eventually, several Ravager clans, including Ogord’s, united to form the United Ravagers, a collective that conducted larger-scale heists and operations.
Following the Battle of Earth, Ogord’s crew welcomed a time-displaced Gamora into their ranks. When Nebula, via Gamora, sought their help to infiltrate the Orgoscope, Ogord and his team boarded the Guardians’ ship after breaching Orgoscope’s security. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, Ogord provided the Guardians with OrgoCorp uniforms and explained the plan to steal the passkey to save Rocket. Though Ogord warned them they would be on their own once inside, he ensured Gamora would assist during the mission.
After Gamora’s adventures with the Guardians concluded, the Ravagers picked her up from Knowhere. Ogord warmly welcomed her back, embracing her with joy as the rest of the crew celebrated her return.
