Stanley, also known as Stanley the Bugman, is the main protagonist of the video game Donkey Kong 3 and it's mini-sequel Donkey Kong 3: Dai Gyakushū. He is a bug exterminator who tries to protect the plants in his greenhouses from Donkey Kong and ravenous insects.
Slanley's objective is to chase Donkey Kong out of his greenhouses by forcing the big ape into beehives hanging above them. However, Stanley must also defend his plants from bugs that emerge from the beehives using his insect repellent.
Donkey Kong 3: Dai Gyakushū[]
In Donkey Kong 3: Dai Gyakushū, which was released exclusively for Japan, Stanley must again stop Donkey Kong from causing trouble and defend himself from insect swarms. However, Stanley can no longer jump and has no plants to protect, making the gameplay similar to sci-fi shooters such as Galaga.

Green House[]
The Game & Watch handheld game Green House features a protagonist who must prevent his flowers from being devoured by hungry spiders and inchworms. Although the game's manual only refer to the playable character as the "Fumigator", advertisements for the game refer to him Stanley instead.
Super Smash Bros.[]
Stanley appears as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee and as a Support Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
