Statler and Waldorf are the supporting characters from The Muppets franchise. They first appeared on The Muppet Show as two elderly hecklers who always sit in a box seat near the stage at the Muppet Theatre and make snide comments about the acts appearing on stage. They especially enjoy heckling Fozzie Bear during his stand-up comedy acts because of Fozzie's bad jokes.
Personality[]
Statler and Waldorf are known for their argumentative attitudes and their tendency for hecking. However, despite this behavior, their hearts are in the right place and they are members of the Muppet family. Likewise, in the Kenny Rogers episode when Kermit gets hurt during a stunt, Statler at least shows some genuine concern and hopes that he's well.
