“ | Never fear, Steel is here. | „ |
~ Steel's catchphrase. |
Steel is the Silver Beast Morphers Rangers and one of the two tritagonists (alongside Nate Silva) of Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
He was originally s a stag beetle/scarab beetle-like android whom Nate built after he was captured by the Avatars and forced to build a robot body for Evox. When Nate subverted their plot, he inadvertently fused said robot body with scarab beetle DNA and his human DNA. As a result, "Steel" became the Silver Ranger as well as a "brother" of sorts to Nate
He is voiced by Jamie Linehan as a robot and portrayed by Sam Jellie as a human.
Personality[]
Steel is a very active and super confident Beast Bot. Although he is a self-obsessed person, often using positive adjectives for himself at times, he nevertheless proved himself as a genuine brother figure to his Ranger Partner, who always wanted one, as with other Beast Bots. He doesn't care much for intellectual pursuits, instead, he is interested in sports and combat. He slips up a few times, pointing out his flaws when he means to boast. However, he's actually more clever than he lets on most of the time.
Overview[]
Steel was originally a robot body that Scrozzle forced Nate to create as a vessel for Evox to possess once he is out of the cyber dimension. Nate managed to sabotage the plan and, through an accident, infused Steel with both scarab beetle DNA and his own human DNA, bringing him to life and turning him into both Nate's Beast Bot and the Silver Ranger.
Trivia[]
- He is the 2nd robotic ranger that has died and revived into a human. The 1st is Mack Hartford, the Red Operation Overdrive Ranger.
- Before gaining his own humanity, Steel briefly swapped bodies with Nate; while it was reversed, Steel appreciated the chance to use the five senses to enjoy life.
- It's later revealed in Dino Fury that Steel's revival as a human was discreetly facilitated by Green Morphin Master, Power Rangers' secret benefactor. Green Morphin Master also slightly changed his human DNA hence explaining why his new human form looked different than Nate thus not a proper clone despite the latter being sole genetic source.
