Stefani Reyes is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Charlie Reyes) of Final Destination: Bloodlines.
Biography[]
Stefani Reyes has been plagued by the same nightmares for the past two months, and she knows she needs answers. Deciding to leave college behind, she heads home to seek her father’s insight about her mother, Iris Campbell. The only person who’s ever met Iris is Howard, her uncle, so she makes her way to his house with her younger brother, Charlie.
Upon arriving at the Campbell residence, Stefani presses Howard for information about Iris, but he deflects, choosing to discuss her maternal grandmother instead. Frustrated but determined, Stefani recalls her aunt’s advice about a letter that could lead her to the truth, hidden in a fortified cabin in the woods.
After a long drive through the forest, Stefani finds the isolated cabin. Nervously, she approaches and knocks, only for Iris to answer, urging her to come in. Iris, now older and bearing the weight of her past, removes items from the mailbox to secure their conversation. She instructs Stefani to sit as she explains the source of her nightmares.
Iris reveals that the nightmares are premonitions rooted in events that happened a decade ago. She recounts a chilling memory of the opening ceremony for the Skyview Restaurant Tower, where she sensed impending disaster. Despite her efforts to warn everyone on the dance floor, Death had other plans, claiming even Paul, a dear friend. Iris hands Stefani a book, insisting it’s the only way to protect their bloodline. At first, Stefani is skeptical and prepares to leave, but Iris interrupts, handing her the book with urgency.
In an instant, tragedy strikes; Iris steps outside for the first time in twenty years and is abruptly killed, impaled by a weathervane. Stefani is left in shock.
After the funeral, Stefani picked up Iris's book and noticed all the drawings. The first image depicted a death strike, and just then, the glass on the table shattered. Suddenly, she realized who was first on Death's list. She rushed to the Campbell household, but by the time she arrived, it was too late. Death had executed his plan, and Howard Campbell had met his grim fate, his face shredded by a lawnmower right in front of his family.
Stefani quickly called the remaining family members for a meeting. She explained that Death was coming for them next, except Marty, Brenda, and Erik (until revealed later), s they were not part of the bloodline. She revealed that their existence was a result of Iris's cheating death for many years. The cycle began with Howard, the oldest of the bloodline, and from there, it would continue with Julia and Bobby next in line. Once they fell, Darlene, herself, and Charlie would be next.
The following morning, Stefani woke up worried as she hadn’t heard from Charlie or Erik the night before. When she checked on Charlie, she found out he was fine but had sustained a few burns. Her relief didn’t last long, as the day took a tragic turn. While Julia was jogging, a soccer ball accidentally hit her, leading to a disastrous encounter with a garbage truck. Stefani watched helplessly as Julia was crushed by the truck’s compactor.
