They accidentally find a secret laboratory of a scientist named Professor MacKrill, who shows them a potion he invented to turn people into fish. Stella did not know it and mistakes it for orange soda and drinks it unbeknownst to everyone and turns into a starfish which is then found by Fly and throws it into the sea, just when Chuck realized what happened to her.
She then lies on the bottom of the sea and uses a manta ray as a blanket which then swims away, she is scared and tries to call her mother and it is then that she realizes that she has become a sea creature and shortly after she finds Sasha and plays with her and then the two meet Fly again, who has become a fish with the potion, and then after a bit of fun they find Chunk. Now a jellyfish that Fly immediately teases, only to then panic knowing that they only have 48 hours to drink the lost antidote.
The group then discovers that Joe has the potion, a fish that has drunk the potion and already has evil intentions for the fish and the ocean, they go to him for the bottle, but are quickly put in by Joe himself to force them to reveal the formula for the potion to rule the ocean and holding Sasha hostage, much to Stella's horror.
Luckily for them, Sasha manages to escape and free them, they escape and try to create the potion again, but they are again attacked by Joe who tries to mate them, but an argument arises between him and his minions and Fly is badly injured by the pincer of a crab.
They manage to sow them and find a way to get the potion and to go back with Stella who has to say goodbye to Sasha and sadly they part ways. They are attacked by Joe who steals the potion leaves the boys in the now submerged laboratory with the piranhas, but Fly manages to reach Joe and trick him with tricks that makes them drink the potion by transforming him into a human and since they are underwater the evil fish dies of suffocation.
Fly returns with the antidote, and after only a few seconds remain, the boys desperately drink the potion and become human again just when their parents and Professor MacKrill return. Stella and Chuck made it, but Fly isn't there and everyone initially believes he's gone forever, but in reality he's alive and well and a human is back in time too. The next day they are all at the beach having fun, but Stella is a bit down for Sasha.
At that moment, however, Sasha appears there, much to Stella's delight, then Chuck and Professor use the potion to transform Sasha into a pony who then plays with Stella.
