Stepney, named after a district in London, is a terrier tank engine. He was saved from the scrapyards by Rusty and now lives happily on the Bluebell Railway.
Personality[]
Stepney is a wise, cheerful, honest, kind and hard-working engine who loves to work on his line, the Bluebell Railway and visit the engines on Sir Topham Hatt's Railway. He always lives to learn a lesson and to listen to advice. Strangely, he finds pulling freight cars fun! He and the other engines felt furious because the diesel insulted them by calling them scrapped engines. He later ready to go back home in the Bluebell Railway after he says goodbye to his friends.

Stepney is based off of a real engine with the same name. He is a LB&SCR A1x Class Terrier 0-6-0 tank engine.
