Steve is a recurring character of The Owl House. He is a former Coven Scout and current member of the Covens Against the Throne.
Appearance[]
Steve wears a light gray mask with large eye holes, similar to the masks worn by plague doctors, doctors who treated victims of bubonic plague in some European countries. Above the mask he has a white cloak with a pointed hood and a golden triangle in the center. His outfit consists of a dark gray long-sleeved shirt with brown gloves and a brown belt with a gold buckle, followed by black harem pants and pointed brown boots. When his true face is revealed in the 19th episode of the second season, we see that he is a humanoid sorcerer with a pink complexion, pointed ears, turquoise eyes, thick eyebrows and dark purple hair. He has two moles on his left cheek and one on his right, and has a short horn protruding from the right side of his forehead. Dressed in casual clothes, Steve wears a yellow T-shirt with his name on it. All other clothing remains the same, such as the hood and mask.
Personality[]
Steve greatly admired Emperor Belos, pushing books off the seller's desk and shouting "Hello, Emperor Belos!" at the mere mention of his name.
However, it was later revealed that he does not want to be part of Emperor's Coven and confesses to Hunter that he regrets his choice. Later on in the season, it’s shown that Steve is rather emotionally mature, showing understanding towards King’s complicated feelings about his new desires as a Titan and even trying his best to help Lilith.
Biography[]
Like the other Coven guards, Steve was inducted into the Emperor's Coven at some point in the past and underwent brutal drills after joining. It was probably around this time that he abandoned his stockade.
Steve is a Coven scout who attends a book fair with Lilith. When Lilith buys a postcard from a merchant for the Blossoming of Eternal Youth, Steve expresses skepticism about this and points out that the real task is to find Eda to join the Imperial Coven. Lilith assures Steve that finding the flower is also of interest to Emperor Belos, after which Steve willingly finds several books from the merchant's table because of his admiration for Belos.
Later, Steve becomes part of the Kikimora team when they search for Titan's Blood on the knee on behalf of Emperor Belos. During his quest, Kikimora tells Steve to jump over the abyss and even threatens to abandon him if he doesn't.
In "Another Time and Another Place" it turns out that he is is one of Lilith's close friends as he attends a celebration at the Owl House organized by Hooty to celebrate Lilith getting a new job as an assistant curator at the Supernatural History Museum.
In "Stormy Sports", Steve is one of the coven Scouts who takes the Emerald Entrails to the police station so they can be recruited into the Emperor's Coven. At some point, when he was transporting them, Skara hits him in the face, although she does not reproach him, because emotions are very high in everyone present. Then, when Darius transports the team on his plane, Steve says that he does not envy them, remembering the hard training that the recruits have to go through, as well as how Belos took his stockade. Then, he notices that he himself begins to regret joining the coven.
In "Oh, Titan, where are you?" Steve goes on an excursion with King, and it turns out that he has left the Emperor's Coven. He later joined the rebel group CATs.
