Steve Palchuck is a major character from the franchise, Tales of Arcadia. He was Jim Lake Jr. and Eli Pepperjack's former bully, before becoming best friend of Eli, teaming up to protect Arcadia from the supernatural, and later becoming allies of Jim and the trolls. He is also the boyfriend of Aja Tarron, and the ancestor of Lancelot.
He is voiced by Steven Yeun.
Biography[]
Trollhunters[]
Steve used to be a bully especially to Eli Pepperjack, frequently locking him in a locker for fun. He begins to bully Jim when he comes to Eli's defense, but Jim fights back and punches Steve, knocking out a tooth. Following this incident, Steve wants to get revenge on Jim, and ends up replacing him in his role as Romeo during the school play. He also ends up winning the position of Prom King despite losing all the events.
When Jim went to the Darklands, Toby and Claire try to cover up his absence by saying he had a terminall illness. However, Steve suspects it's a trick and decides to find out what's going on with Jim. He eventually discovers a goblin in his garage and turns to Eli for help. They team up to investigate supernatural activities and come to the conclusion that Jim is part of an evil supernatural plot. They form the "Creepslayerz" team to stop Jim, but it turns out that he was a hero after all. The two throw their sack of flour at the Gruesome and it died. Steve and Eli also help the Trolls by bringing them umbrellas so they can get out of the Trollmarket without getting burned by the sun, after Jim requests their help. They become allies of the Trollhunters.
Meanwhile, Steve is somewhat uncomfortable because Coach Lawrence has been dating his mother, so he asks him to keep it a secret and pushes him away due to his past issues with his real father. When Lawrence is possessed by the Troll ashes, Steve opens up and admits that Lawrence is not his father, but is his friend. Lawrence returns to normal and they both hug each other (although they try to deny it).

When they are at the planetarium, Aja and Krel suspect that Eli knows their true identities as aliens, and they distract Steve so they can read Eli's mind. When Krel suspects that Steve is an alien, he fights him, but later realizes that he made a mistake. Steve is about to hit him, but Aja kicks him to defend her brother. Steve falls in love with her inmediately.
Steve decides to ask Aja out on a date, and the two share a romantic moment, which is where Aja's true identity begins to emerge. She quickly leaves to prevent Steve from knowing that she is an alien. As more episodes followed, Aja tries to tell Steve her true identity before leaving, but she changes her mind when Steve keeps making intorelant comments about aliens. However, when Steve finds out, he is taken away by her beauty and accepts her for who she really is. He even shows sympathy for Aja and Krel, and vows to keep their secret safe. They share their first kiss during the Battle of The Eternal Night (in Aja's human form).

When Steve travelled back in time with others, he was able to meet Lancelot and amazed to see what a knight is, so he got trained as a knight.
Appearance[]
Steve is a tall young teenager with blond hair, a blue polo, brown eyes, light pants, and white tennis shoes.
In his Creepslayerz uniform, he wears a black helmet with "Z" symbols on the sides, black liners under his eyes, a black T-shirt, black sweats, and black shoes.
Personality[]
At first, Steve was an arrogant bully who enjoys bullying the weaker and makes life miserable for his classmates, Jim Lake Jr. and Eli Pepperjack, locking up the latter constantly in a locker only to make fun of him. After Jim knocked out his tooth, Steve has spent most of his time trying to get back at him, either by replacing him as Romeo in the school play or competing against him for the post of the King of school. However, Steve's abuse was most likely caused by his father's hostile nature towards him and his mother, something that Coach Lawrence implies.
After discovering a green goblin in his garage, Steve turns to his bully victim, Eli, after the two were forced to work together on a school project. When Eli tells him about the supernatural activity in Arcadia, the two assume someone is behind it all. The two set out to investigate the strange activities, and in the process, they meet face to face for the first time and form a friendship. From there, Steve becomes a better person and dedicates to protecting Arcadia Oaks alongside Eli, although sometimes acting as a jerk for the sake of his image.
Steve continues to change for the better after meeting Aja. After discovering that she is an alien, he decides to accept her for what she is hers, putting aside his prejudices about aliens and keeping her secret safe from her. Steve also seems to have gotten used to the supernatural, as when he first met Archie, he was more surprised that he is a cat with glasses than a talking one. This indicates that he's not too surprised due to his previous experiences with supernatural beings.
