Sting is a former antagonist in My Little Pony G1 series.

He initially is the second in command of Queen Bumble at the honeycomb trap on the Flutter Ponies. He is the one who stolen the Sunstone, just for his queen.

Pursued after Morning Glory rehabilitates him, he stops Bumble from producing too much honey, given the risk that he would drown the captured ponies. Despite this, he was still somewhat loyal to the queen than him.

When a fire breaks out in Bumbleland, Sting redeems himself completely, moves the SunStone and refuses to listen to Bumble and compact against Pointer. Sting managed to defeat Pointer using his new flying skills, but the ponies are still captive, so he and Morning Glory follow the rainbow to go to Megan Williams for help.

They succeed and overcome a bull to save their friends.
