Sugoro (スー五郎, Sūgorō?) and his son Shusugoro (スー小五郎, Sū Kogorō?) are two shapeshifting space lemurs that were introduced in the Dragon Ball GT episode "The Game After Life".

Story[]

Goku first met them after he finds himself in Sugoro Space. Sugoro tells Goku about the rules of the game; if he wins the game, he will keep his life and return to Earth, but if he loses, he will give up his life and die. Goku struggles at first and and fails several times. After Goku accuses the two for cheating, Sugoro Space collapses and Goku saves them and the three tried to escape, but they are eventually rescued by Kibito Kai and taken to the Sacred World of the Kais. They also helped Old Kai regrow Goku's tail by transforming into a pair of pliers after Old Kai suggested that the only way to have Goku increase his power in order to defeat Baby is to regrow his tail back, which Goku ultimately agrees with before Goku can help speed it up. After Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan 4 for the first time, they become impressed at his new form.

Trivia[]

  • Sugoro was voiced by the late Brice Armstrong in the FUNimation dub (who is also the narrator of the FUNimation dub of Dragon Ball).
  • Sugoro was voiced by Jonathan Love in the Blue Water dub (who also voices Gogeta and Grandpa Gohan in the Blue Water dub).
  • Sugoro is voiced by Bin Shimada in the Original Japanese dub (who also voices Krusty the Clown and Donatello in the Japanese dub of The Simpsons and the Japanese dub of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon).
