Sumida is a supporting character in the 2019 manga Shimeji Simulation. A second-year student, Sumida is one of the members of Mogawa-sensei's Hole-Digging Club, who was once known as the club's "ghost member" due to her being absent for most of the time. She is the senior of Shijima Tsukishima and Majime Yamashita at her own school.
Appearance[]
Sumida is a teenage girl who has green hair that is styled in two pigtails. Sumida is always seen with her eyes closed, as well as having a tired expression on her face. She is always seen carrying a white notebook beside her, as a form of communication.

A rather silent person, Sumida does not usually talk through verbal communication, but instead she uses a notebook as means of communicating to others by writing her dialogues on it. Sumida is also known to be a competent drawer, whom she also draws art in her notebook, when she sometimes communicate. She is an avid fan of Mogawa-sense's doughnut-shaped sculptures.

- In the cover of the manga's Chapter 1, Sumida used to have a dark brown hair. The reasons behind the color change, as seen in Chapter 11, her first appearance, remains unknown.
