Sun-Hee is the titular deuteragonist of the Amazon Prime TV series animated spinoff The Boys Presents: Diabolical seventh episode "John and Sun-Hee."

She is the sickly wife of John dying of cancer, until John uses Compound V to restore her health, though coming with the side effect of her having a sentient tumor that attacks life around her. While escaping from Vought, she does everything in her power to stop her tumor.

She is voiced by Youn Yuh-jung.

Personality[]

Sun-Hee is a very selfless and kind old woman, concerned more about the lives of others than her own. When mutated with Compound V, she would rather use her powers to stop her tumor from going on a rampage than let it hurt others. She loves her husband very much and asks her not to be sad over her death.

Biography[]

Sun-Hee is a Korean woman who has been married to John, a janitor for Vought, for a very long time, but things would take a turn when her pancreatic cancer would put her in the hospital. John would frequently visit her at the hospital, unable to cope with her impending demise.

John would dose her with a stolen Compound V to save her however, which would work, but cause her to have a sentient blue tumor grow and attack multiple Vought Employees trying to kill her in the hospital (one trying to smother her to death to make it look like an accident.)

Her and John escape using an ambulance car. Sun-Hee is in clear pain and asks John to pull over the car. When she gets out, her tumor escapes her body and begins to eat all the wildlife. When soldiers show up, it begins to attack the soldiers. They escape once more and John wants to leave but Sun-Hee demands that they stay and stop the tumor (believing it is their responsibility), despite John wanting to spend more time with her. John manages to damage it with a taser gun, then Sun-Hee empowers herself and takes out the tumor. Before dying, she tells John to take care of himself and not wanting him to be torn up over her death.
