Sunday is a major antagonist-turned-playable character for 2023 video game, Honkai: Star Rail. He used to be a high-ranked member of the Penaconian Family and the big brother of Robin.
He attempted to cover the entire universe in Ena's Dream to create a Dreamscape paradise of utopia, before being foiled in his attempts and imprisoned for his crimes. Later broken out by Jade, Sunday reflected on his journey and joined the Astral Express, the faction who was chiefly responsible for his defeat in order to atone for his crimes as well as to broaden his outlook.
Appearance[]
Like all Halovians, Sunday sports light blue hair swept to the left with a halo above his head. He was wings of light blue color.
Personality[]
Before his redemption, Sunday used to be an arrogant and impulsive individual. Despite getting Aventurine's cooperation, Sunday put a geas on him to force him to find the individual behind Robin's death, while not accounting that Dr. Ratio was helping him for his own ends. Also, while confronting Gallagher behind his role with Something Unto Death, Sunday did so without any precaution which led to him getting stabbed and sent to Dreamflux Reef.
Despite this, Sunday's motivations were out of a genuine wish to bring peace across the universe. Being convinced that life across the universe can't flourish without being in a cage, Sunday agreed to Gopher Wood's teachings and instigated the plan to hijack Xipe.
However, after the defeat. Sunday was forced to see the world through mortal perspective and realize, his pursue of goal to create the paradise using Order's Dream was completely misguided, and thus decide to abandon the Order and joins the Astral Express in favor to pursue his original dreams on his own.
Biography[]
Sunday and Robin came from their homeworld which was ravaged by a Stellaron disaster. After losing their mother, the siblings became refugees after which they were adopted by Gopher Wood, the leader of Penacony.
One day, when Sunday and Robin were playing in his home, an injured Charmony Dove landed there. Sunday and Robin cared for the bird whose wings were injured. Despite Robin's protest, Sunday built a cage for the bird and cared for it with her until its wings were healed. After the bird was healed, the siblings freed it as Sunday watched its progress. Despite countless efforts by the Charmony Dove, it was unable to fly at all and eventually died, much to Sunday's sorrow.
Eventually, both Sunday and Robin grew up, and began to walk different paths. Sunday was selected as the next head-to-be of the Oak Family by Gopher Wood, who was ailing at this time, as Robin became a singer who travelled worlds to spread the name of Harmony across the galaxy. Sunday began to listen to confessions of various Dreamchasers across Penacony and slowly but steadily grew disillusioned with life's struggles due to some of them harming their families in order to live in Penacony.
Several moments later, Gopher Wood informed Sunday that Robin was near-fatally injured during a concert tour at a war-torn planet. This enraged Sunday so much that he decided to accept Gopher Wood's teachings and revive Ena to bring a utopia.
