Sunrunner is a minor character in the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure from the 1989 toyline.
Biography[]
Sunrunner appeared only in the Marvel UK-exclusive stories. He first appeared in the post-movie era in "Aspects of Evil", where he was one of a group of Autobots who accompanied Rodimus Prime in answering a distress call from an Autobot outpost on Cybertron. Their arrival turned out to be too late, with the garrison having already been wiped out.
He made his only present day appearance in "A Small War", where he was one of the first Micromasters created on Cybertron. He and the rest of the Battle Patrol infiltrated the Decepticon base to get information on a new secret weapon only to learn the Decepticons were creating their own Micromasters and had tricked them into coming there so they could capture and analyse them. Patrol leader Big Shot chose not to activate their self-destruct but they were swiftly captured by Thunderwing. They were eventually rescued by Roadhandler and the rest of the Micromasters but not before Thunderwing manage to reverse engineer them.
His only further appearance was in the post-movie era in "The Void", where he was one of the Autobots evacuating Cybertron for Earth.
