Takeda Takahashi, is a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 1 who also serves as a minor character in the New Era.
This version of Takeda is voiced by Parry Shen, reprise his role from Mortal Kombat X 2015.
Biography[]
Mortal Kombat 1[]
In the New Era, instead of being Kenshi's son, Takeda is now Kenshi's cousin and was also a member of the Yakuza. Unlike how Kenshi despised being affiliated with the Yakuza, Takeda enjoyed this lifestyle. Takeda himself would be sent after Kenshi when Kenshi began opposing them, but was defeated in the subsequent confrontation. Kenshi, unwilling to let the mortally wounded Takeda die, took Takeda to the Shirai Ryu to be protected from the Yakuza for failing them. Even after Takeda is fully healed, Kenshi refused to have Takeda released due to his fear of the Yakuza killing Takeda for failing his own mission.
While for several months Takeda tried to escape, he would become inspired by the clan to change his ways, and although he has left the Shirai Ryu, he became a vigilante against the criminal underworld. As revealed in his ending, Takeda managed to track the heads of the Yakuza to a meeting, intending to defeat them there and then, but found out that the Red Dragon clan were the ones influencing Earthrealm's crime families. Now with this knowledge, Takeda made it his mission to either finish the Red Dragon, or die trying.
