Tanya Sloan is Zeo Ranger II Yellow of the Zeo Rangers and formerly the first Yellow Turbo Ranger of the Turbo Rangers as well as a main character in Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Turbo. She replaced Aisha Campbell in after Aisha chose to stay in Africa to help take care of the animals. She is also Adam Park's love interest.
She is played by Nakia Burrise, who also played Fallon Casey in Barbie in A Mermaid Tale, as well as Nikki in Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse.

Past[]
In the original timeline before meeting Aisha, Tanya Sloan was born to two unnamed explorers but they wound up disappearing whilst searching for the "Lost Tiki of Auric" in Africa. With her parents presumed dead, Tanya opted to stay with the tribe she had been with before they disappeared.
Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers[]
When the evil Master Vile reverses time and turns the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers into helpless children, they are sent through time to collect the fragments of a mystical item called the Zeo Crystal. The current Yellow Ranger, Aisha Campbell, travels to Africa, where she encounters the young Tanya Sloan. Though she finds her Zeo Subcrystal, Aisha wishes to stay in Africa to help sick animals, and so Tanya agrees to return to the present in her place. When time is restored by the reuniting of the Zeo Crystal, Tanya is aged into a teenager and history changes so she grew up in America instead of Africa. Soon after though, Rito and Goldar arrive and steal the Zeo Crystal before a bomb begins destroying the building. The Rangers and Tanya are teleported out of the building just before it explodes which seems to destroy Alpha 5 and Zordon.
Zeo[]
After they uncover the Zeo Crystal in the remains of the Command Center, Tanya is brought to the new Power Chamber with the rest of the Rangers where Zordon is revealed to be alive and introduces the newest threat; the Machine Empire. Using the Zeo Subcrystals, he can make them the more powerful Zeo Rangers so it is briefly considered that Aisha's Zeo Powers should go to Billy Cranston. However, he declines because he feels he has served his purpose and would better serve as a technical guide although he offers to indeed take the powers himself if Tanya didn't feel up to the task. However, Tanya does indeed become the new Zeo Ranger II and helps her new teammates to defeat the Machine Empire's initial defeat. To help her cope with her temporal displacement, Katherine Hillard convinces her parents to adopt Tanya before signing her new friend up to attend Angel Grove High School. She initially hits it off with the baseball favourite Shawn but breaks up when he tries to get her to help him cheat at a test he needs to pass to remain on the team.
Despite some setbacks, Tanya adapts quickly to her new lifestyle and began to learn martial arts from Tommy Oliver, Rocky DeSantos and Adam Park. She joins the Angel Grove High softball team as a pitcher. They eventually make up later and decide to remain friends. Also, despite her lack of a formal education, she reveals herself as one of the wisest of the Power Rangers, easily solving mysteries that often leave her friends baffled. It is eventually revealed that her real parents had been trapped in a cave on the fabled Mysterio Island. After receiving a letter from her old tribe and Aisha, she manages to find and rescue them; learning that the "Lost Tiki" is in fact the form of the ancient hero, Auric the Conqueror, whose care she places in the hands of Jason Lee Scott, who was serving as the Gold Ranger at the time.
Eventually, at the end of a war between the Machine Empire and Evil Space Aliens, Tanya grows giant with her teammates to defeat King Mondo and his Cogs once and for all although Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa are the ones to completely destroy the Royal House of Gadgetry. With the Machine Empire in retreat and the Evil Space Aliens on vacation, Tanya and her teammates go into retirement without any evil to fight
Turbo[]
A year after the defeat of the Machine Empire, Kat and Tanya have become tutors to elementary school children with one being Justin Stewart although they are still retired as the Evil Space Aliens didn't return due to Rita getting pregnant. When the evil Space Pirate Divatox threaten to raise a powerful monster named Maligore to marry her, Tanya, along with the other Rangers, accept new Turbo powers and she becomes the Yellow Turbo Ranger, and gains the Dune Star Turbozord. After destroying Maligore, Tanya continues to fight against Divatox, but she and the other Ranger veterans pass on their powers to worthy successors after graduating from high school. Tanya selects, as her replacement, cheerleader Ashley Hammond, to continue on as the Yellow Turbo Ranger before she leaves for college. What she studied and what happened to her after this is unknown.
Dino Thunder[]
Tanya Sloan is featured in a chronicle of Power Ranger history compiled by her old teammate Tommy shortly after he formed the Dino Rangers, which is found by the nascent Ranger team in the Dino Lab.
Super Megaforce[]
Seventeen years after her retirement, Tanya returns as Zeo Ranger II Yellow along with her teammates and every other past Ranger to help the Mega Rangers defeat the final remnants of the Armada and protect the Earth. After destroying the army, the Rangers thank the Mega Rangers and teleport away with Tanya returning home.
Personality[]
As a young child, Tanya was smart, calm, friendly, and always wanted to save the world someday. As a teenager, Tanya retains much of her personality liker before, but is now also brave and loyal, she has always been big-hearted. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, and loves music.
Skills and Abilities[]
- Singing: Tanya is a masterful singer, being the focus of the episodes "Song Sung Yellow" and "Another Song and Dance" and winning awards for it in those episodes.
- Pianist: Tanya is a gifted pianist, being able to play multiple songs very well.
- Agility: Tanya is a very agile hero, being able to jump, flip and handstand around in battle to gain the upper-hand.

Trivia[]
- According to a November 1995 promo sheet for Alien Rangers/Power Rangers Zeo, Tanya's original name was Kenya.
- Tanya is the first person to first become a Ranger in a season other than that in which they debuted in. The only other one is Karone.
- Tanya is the first Yellow Ranger to have a skirt that's part of her suit as the first two Yellow Rangers, Trini Kwan and Aisha Campbell lack skirts, due to their Sentai counterpart being male.
