Tao Yuifa is a major character in the webnovel, manga, and anime series I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability. She is a martial artist and an adventurer who met Lloyd de Saloum, the 7th Prince of the Kingdom of Saloum (disguised as "Robert") while hunting wild beasts.
She is voiced by Akira Sekine in Japanese and by Veronica Laux in English.
Appearance[]
Tao is a beautiful young lady in her late teenage years of slim build. She has long pink hair typically tied two bunned pigtails on both side of her head. Her eyes are gradiant pink and orange colors. Her ears each wear cyan-colored ribbon-shaped earrings. Her usually attire is a pink-colored martial artist outfit along with a pair of white high sockings, the right one taller than the right one.
Personality[]
Tao loves battling beasts with her martial prowess. She was ready to fight almost whoever she is not interested when she was aware that was she being observed after solely taking down several beasts. She is adventurous to the point of being occasionally hyperactive. She is incredibly proud of her strength, yet is able to recognise when an adversary outmatches her; should she survive, she commits to surpassing her prior limits as to prevent a repetition of defeat.
Due to her upbringing that robbed her of the chance to socialise or find love during her adolescence, she is desperate to find romance. Despite being desperate, her standards are high in regards to appearances, since she often proclaims that she wants a "hot guy," yet is quick to ignore even attractive men if they have unpleasant personalities. She became attracted to Lloyd when in the guise of Robert, a handsome teenage boy her age; however, due to the fact that Robert's appearance was a combination of Lloyd's own and his brother, she found an immediate attraction to both Albert and Lloyd when meeting them. While holding this superficiality, due to Lloyd's compassion and charisma, she finds herself primarily drawn to him, yet still claiming to be looking for any "hot guy."
Despite being brash and seemingly selfish, Tao has a strong moral code, and as such would work hard to protect those innocents that seem weaker than her, even willing to risk and sacrifice her life to save them. However, even though she has urgency in finding love, she can become bashful, so tends to shy away from gratitude she would gain from her nobility, since she finds it embarrassing.
Tao is a foreign master of qi, so is accustomed to be dismissed as a foreigner with a skill that isn't understood and thus mocked in a nation of sorcerers. So when Lloyd (as Robert and as himself) expressed interest and appreciation for her qi talents, she was deeply moved, which contributed to her attraction to him.
