As I stand in front of the Lost Idol of Zagawa, I have one important thing to say. Anybody can memorize facts and figures. The real way is to go out and explore and let your curiosity lead you.
~ Ted's speech to the public.

Theodore "Ted" Shackleford (known to the public as The Man with the Yellow Hat) is the deuteragonist of the Curious George franchise. In Curious George (2006), Ted gets his trademark yellow suit when he's tricked by the shop owners into purchasing it (claiming yellow's "the new khaki"). He then meets George, a playful but curious monkey who changes his life forever.

He is voiced by Will Ferrell (who also portrays Buddy Hobbs in Elf, The Man Upstairs and President Business in The Lego Movie, Megamind in the film of the same name, Brennan Huff in Step Brothers, Ron Burgundy in Anchorman and its sequel and Brad Whitaker in Daddy's Home and Daddy's Home 2) in the 2006 animated film and Jeff Bennett (who also voices Pip in Enchanted, the titular character in Johnny Bravo, Prowl in Transformers Animated, Petrie in The Land Before Time, and Brooklyn in Gargoyles) in the TV series and later films.
