Theodore "Teddy" Duchamp is the tritagonist of the 1986 drama Stand by Me.
He is insane member of the group, as his father had held his ear to a stove and nearly burned it off. He tends to be abrasive and obnoxious, especially towards Vern. Although Teddy was more violent in the book than in the film.
When Vern brought up the story of Ray Brower, a kid his age who died in the woods of Harlow, Teddy mentioned he knew the Back Harlow Road , and it goes to a dead end by the Royal River, and a series of train tracks are nearby, where he and his father used to fish for Cossies.
In the end, according to Gordie, he tried twice to join the Army, but his eyes and his ear kept him out of doing so.
He is played by Corey Feldman, who also voiced Copper as a puppy in The Fox and the Hound.
