Heroine Overview

Teela is a fictional character from the Masters of the Universe franchise. She is the Captain of the Royal Guard at the palace of Eternos and thus responsible for training and protecting Prince Adam of Eternia.

While Adam is He-Man, Teela often assists him in his battles, but she is unaware of his alternate identity. Teela is one of the first characters developed for Masters of the Universe, although her figure was released in the second half of the first wave.

She was voiced by Linda Gary in the Filmation cartoon.

Appearance[]

Mainstream Appearance[]

Teela was a pretty young warrior with red hair and blue eyes. Her long hair was tied into a bun and held in place by a golden tiara. She had a slim but athletic build with exceptionally muscular legs. Her bearing was regal.

Her combat attire consisted of a white bodysuit and a white and gold armor that covered her torso leaving her arms and legs bare. Her high heeled boots were made of leather with a fur trim. On her arms she had metal bracers both on her upper arms and wrists.

Depending on the situation she also carried a sword and a shield, a staff with a snake motif or various energy rifles or guns.

It was indicated that Teela and Adam were more or less the same age and since in the episode The Great Books Mystery (Season 2, Episode 11, airdate September 25, 1984) Adam is celebrating his 19th birthday it is reasonable to presume that Teela was also in her late teens.

Appearance in Alternate Universes[]

Teela of the The Ultimate Battleground has strawberry blonde hair and wears a more revealing outfit that leaves her midriff bare in addition to her arms and legs.

In Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Teela has short hair and is noticeably muscular.
