Tempo is the protagonist of the 2012 video game, HarmoKnight. He is a traveller who harnesses the power of music.
Biography[]
One day on a planet called Melodia, Tempo is training alongside his rabbit companion Tappy when a meteor crash lands, releasing an army of Noizoids. He finds a note staff and, under the instructions of his master, Woodwin, goes to Symphony City to give the note to someone who has the potential to be a HarmoKnight. Along the way, he meets a buff warrior called Tyko, his monkey companion Cymbi, and an archer called Lyra. When they reach Symphony City, however, they see the Noizoids' leader, Gargan, kidnap Princess Ariana and put a sleeping curse on the citizens so they cannot wake up. Tempo gives chase to Gargan to rescue Ariana.
At the end of his adventure, Tempo confronts Gargan, who reveals that he has been turning Ariana into a Noizoid. After defeating a Winterwulf sent by the villain, Tempo and his allies follow Gargan to Baroque Mountain, where Gargan paralyzes Tempo's friends and forces him to fight him alone. Tempo manages to deflect one of Gargan's projectiles at him, knocking him into the meteor and causing the volcano to erupt. Gargan and the meteor are launched into space, Ariana is freed from her conversion, and Melodia returns to normal.
