Tenjirō Kirinji is a major character from the manga/anime series, Bleach. He's a member of the Royal Guard, holding the title "Hot Spring Demon". He holds the position of First Officer of the Zero Division, as well as "Divine General of the East".
He is voiced by Tomoyuki Shimura in the Japanese version of the anime and by Mick Lauer in the English version.
Appearance[]
Tenjirō Kirinji is a very tall and quite muscular man with black hair arranged in a characteristic shape, resembling a bird's beak, and often having a small stick in his mouth. Unlike the rest of the Royal Guard, he does not wear the standard Shinigami shihakushō, but a waist-length white jacket that reveals most of his chest, with the Royal Guard emblem on the back. His outfit is completed with a black hakama, a large yellow sash around his waist, and a pair of sandals.
Personality[]
Tenjirō Kirinji is an extremely condescending character, especially when it comes to the Gotei 13 and most of the captains, considering them to be children wandering in the fog who bring disgrace to their title. This condescension often reaches such a level that fellow Zero Division members Ichibē and Kirio have to temper him, usually in a physical manner.
He is also confident in his fighting abilities, being the first member of the Royal Guard to face Yhwach upon arriving at the Soul King's Palace, stating that he would not confront him unless he believed victory was possible.

- Kirinji's pompadour can support 120 kg of weight.
- Kirinji has taught Retsu Unohana how to use healing kido; though its unknown when, seeing as he is not amongst the original 13 captains.
- He is aware that Kisuke created a weaker version of the healing hot springs for Yoruichi's secret training grounds.
- While Kirinji chalks it up to poor skill, Kisuke kept the recovery power low on purpose; Kirinji's White Bone Sping can cause decomposition from the rapid gealing going on too long.
