Terrestrius, better known as Terry, is a major heroic antagonist in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. He is Claudia's boyfriend, who is a Earthblood Elf and also serves as Claudia's moral compass as she becomes more villainous. While technicaly an antagonist, Terry is far from being evil or villainous.
He is voiced by Benjamin Callins.
Biography[]
Terry was born as an Earthblood Elf, and was seen as a female by the other elves in his village, but he knew that he was a male, so he chose the name Terrestrius.
He would become Claudia's boyfriend sometime during the two year time-period Viren was dead. He was also aware of Claudia's use of dark magic to resurect her father. After he was revived, Terry tried to act nice to Viren, although he still failed to make Viren like him.
Terry, Claudia, and Viren would then try to climb the Storm Spire to get Viren's staff, but Viren refused to go as he was traumatized over climbing the mountain where he died, with not even Terry being able to convince him to do it. During Claudia's fight with Ibis, Ibis tries to kill Claudia, so Terry is forced to kill Ibis, saving Claudia.
That night, Terry cries over the fact that he was forced to kill Ibis, and asked Viren how he was able to get through it, but Viren told him to get a grip. When the next day began, Claudia used Viren's staff to get Aaravos familiar off his cocoon. The familiar whom Claudia decided to call Sir Sparklepuff would then bring them to Umber Tor so they get a map that would get them to Aaravos' prison from Rex Igneous.
During this, Terry rescued Claudia from Soren and tied Soren with roots, and after bringing him to a cave, Claudia, Terry and Sir Sparklepuff went to find objects to do a magic spell while Soren stayed with Viren.
After this, They would go to Rex Igneous' cave where Claudia would put every member of Team Zym and Rex sleeping with a spell, with Terry trying to use a goo he found to remake a map to Aaravos' prison, which was carved in Rex Igneous' tooth. However, Rayla woke Rex by stabbing him in his left paw, although they were still able to get the map.
Rayla went after them and holded Terry hostage, but Claudia seemingly threw the coins that had Rayla' loved ones' souls to lava, so Rayla released Terry and to try to catch the stones, only for it to be revealed that there were just rocks and Claudia still had the coins. Terry would then confront her on how awful she was to use Rayla's loved ones against her, which caused Claudia to decide to give Rayla's loved ones' coins to her.
After escaping Umber Tor, Viren fell unconscious, and while Claudia went to find something that could help her father, Terry stayed with Viren, with him singing a song he was taught when Terry was a child.
Sometime later, Claudia was starting to become paranoid because she was worried about her father, so Terry brought her a few things to cheer her up, such as a giant adoraburr named an adorapurr. The next day, they would drag Viren across Xadia so they could get to the Sea of the Castout where Aaravos' prison was located, but after seeing that Claudia was tired and needed to rest but refused to because of wanting to keep so her father might be able to survive, Terry made a boat for them so they could keep moving while Claudia rested.
A dragon would later go to search for Claudia and Viren to stop them from freeing Aaravos, so Terry helped in trying to cover the boat so they wouldn't get spotted. However, the dragon would eventually find them, and Claudia decided to fight against it, which ended in Claudia winning and preparing to kill the dragon, with Terry trying to stop her. While Claudia does spare the dragon, it's only because she understood it was afraid of her and sparing it would prove her superiority over the dragon.
They would then arrive to the Sea of the Castout, and after noticing the place where the prison was located was underwater, Claudia brought several ingridients to create a potion would turn her into a combination of an octopus and a human. After the spell worked and Claudia went underwater to find the prison, Terry stayed in the beach close to the sea waiting for her. That night after Claudia failed to win against Team Zym who took the pearl where Aaravos was imprisoned in, Terry found Claudia, who would start to cry realizing that her father was going to die and all she did for two years was useless. Terry was shocked to then discovered she had lost a leg, but chose to stay with Claudia and hugged her.
Personality[]
Terry is an optimistic and friendly person who gets nervous often. He also dislikes when people use emotional cruelty against people, as he confronted Claudia over using the coins that had Rayla's loved ones against her. Terry also shows reluctance towards killing, and cried out of remorse when he was forced to kill Ibis, and tried to stop Claudia from killing a dragon who attacked them.
When Claudia has a breakdown after Viren leaves, Terry remains loyal and loving to her. Even when she attempts to leave on her own for a few days, Terry states where she left him, feeling she would come back. Much to his expectation, Claudia did come back but fell silent and deep thought due to her trauma and failed attempts to live without proper help for her missing leg. Terry bathed Claudia, treated her wounds and cleaned her clothes; even creating a wooden foot to replace the one Rayala cut off.
Terry is very patient and nurturing, which helped him with Claudia's mental health; slowly helping her appreciate and see the beauty of the world again, rather than just see spell ingredients. When Aaravos was telling his backstory he was suspicious and suspected that he was twisting the story to manipulate him and Claudia.

- Terry is transgender.
- Terry brings it up indirectly during a conversation with Viren; using the terms "doe" and "buck" for deer as metaphors for gender.
- His gas smells like petrichor, which is a smell that is usually present on soil after rain shower.
