The Chef is a minor character in Season 3 of AvM Shorts and the titular overarching protagonist of the Season 4 episode with the same name.
He is a brilliant chef from the Titan Ravager Village that knows all the recipes, but won't give them to the Stick Gang, forcing them on a quest to learn it all themselves.
History[]
"Titan Ravager"[]
A one-off background extra, the Chef is shown mourning his lost pigs, before telling Blue and Yellow to do something about the problem. The problem turns out to be a gigantic Titan Ravager who is looking to feed itself, causing Blue and Yellow to make a giant machine that feeds the beast. The Chef ultimately ends up helping the two in building the machine, alongside numerous other Villagers.
"The Raid"[]
Once again an extra, the Chef aids the other Villagers in gathering up a rebellion against the Illagers. He gives Blue several resources, one of those being a ramen noodles recipe that the stick figure steals for himself.
"The King"[]
The Chef, like the rest of his village and the entire Minecraft world, died when being sucked into King Orange's black hole, before being revived when the Second Coming undid his actions and resurrected everything.
Sometime between this episode and the next one, the Chef was trained by the Musketeers into being an expert swordfighter, possibly even better than the three of them. However, he prefers to use kitchen blades.
"The Chef"[]
In his first mainline role, the Stick Gang revisits the village so they could get more unique food instead of just the standard Minecraft one like steaks and cakes. However, he is unwilling to give his Master Cookbook to them, claiming they must first prove themselves by doing some meals on their own. The team doesn't want to waste time on it, so they try to steal the book instead; unfortunately for them, the Chef's training pays off as he is easily able to take on all five of them in battle and win, forcing them to do his tasks if they want the cookbook.
They cook the meals the Chef orders them to, and they do fairly well (even if the Chef is disgusted by Blue putting nether wart onto his pizza). However, Green messes up one of the bagels and burns it, and instead of admitting his fault he tries to hide the bagel. An angry and disappointed the Chef demands the Stick Gang to get out, and kicks them out himself after they beg for another chance. The next day, he finds them at his doorstep, depressed at how they failed to get the cookbook. Taking mercy on them, he gives the five maps and claims that, if they manage to get recipes for food from numerous cultures, he will give them the Master Cookbook.
After a long adventure, the Stick Gang manages to get all the food the Chef requested. He finally gives them the Master Cookbook... but they find out it's empty. He reveals how, via their adventures throughout the world, they have made their own master cookbook, containing all the recipes they could have asked for. While Blue understands the Chef's lesson and takes it to heart, an angry Green punches him in the face, knocking him out, and proceeds to devour all the food he made alongside the other stick figures (excluding a dumbfounded Blue).
Trivia[]
- After being knocked out by Green, the Chef is making the infamous Family Guy death pose.
- According to Alan Becker, the Chef is a skilled swordsman because of the Musketeers training him.
