The Croods are the titular main protagonists of the DreamWorks franchise of the same name.

They are the last family known as cavemen who managed to survive, as the other primitive families died from climates, diseases and killed by predators. The main thing they think about is surviving, even if that means living in fear because they believe it's the only way to live. It can be expressed that the head of the family is Grug who is the most strict, harsh and brutal and has established certain rules such as never leaving the cave at night, never trying new things and never stopping be afraid.

Eventually, the Croods, thanks to the most rebellious girl in the family, Eep, and a boy she falls in love with, Guy, manage to be better than they think to be and open up to the world.

Members

• Grug Crood: the leader and the patriarch of the family; Ugga's husband, Gran's son-in-law and father of Eep, Thunk and Sandy. He is the toughest, most severe, hostile member and determined to protect the whole family with the rules he invented, and at first he disapproves of Guy's presence, but over time he accepts him.
• Ugga Crood: the matriarch and Co-Leader of the family, Grug's wife, Gran's daughter and mother of Eep, Thunk and Sandy. She's also very protective of her family, except unlike Grug, she's more supportive.
• Eep Crood: Grug and Ugga's eldest daughter, Gran's granddaughter, and Tunk and Sandy's older sister. She is the most rebellious of the family and is the only one who realizes that theirs is not a life and it is thanks to her that she falls in love with Guy who manages to make her whole family understand.
• Thunk Crood: the middle child of the family, Eep's younger brother and Sandy's older brother. As his name says, he is the most naive and least intelligent of the family and is also the one who remains most faithful to his father, but also the most insecure about him.
• Sandy Crood: The youngest member of the family, the youngest daughter of Grug and Ugga, the younger sister of Eep and Thunk, and granddaughter of Gran. The family considers her to be her secret weapon, as she is the most aggressive and wild member of the family and she behaves more like a dog than a person, even though she has human feelings.
• Gran: Ugga's mother, Grug's mother-in-law, Eep, Thunk, and Sandy's grandmother, and the eldest member of the family. She is also the craziest and most eccentric, although she doesn't get along very well with Grug.
