He was the self-proclaimed ruler of "The Wall", a colony of humans shrunk, kidnapped, and collected as trophies by Yumyulack, one of the show's main characters. While initially a cold-blooded tyrant, after losing his power and fleeing The Wall, however, he is forced to survive with Cherie. The two eventually bond and the Duke redeems himself, sacrificing himself to save Cherie's life.
He is voiced by Alfred Molina.
Biography[]
After he escapes the wall, he is forced to survive alongside Cherie. They eventually come to a settlement and, as a result, become reluctant friends after being imprisoned in a toy ship by a huge possum named Jeff the Possum. The Duke gradually suspects Cherie is pregnant, and a pee test proves it (also reveals he collects their urine). The Duke decides that Cherie's womb is expanding and that their setting is unsuitable for her unborn child to develop in, so he assists her in leaving. The Duke kills it with a firecracker while Jeff is distracted by Cherie running, inflicting a fatal wound on himself. He expresses his (paternal) love for Cherie as he lay dying, tells her that he hopes his good deeds as the head of the Wall will make up for all the bad he done, and asks her not to touch his genitalia after he passes away. He also discloses his real name to her, Ringo.
Return[]
At the end of Episode 10, "Terry's Big Cleaning Day" Terry accidentally revives the Duke when he uses the Make-Alive ray on the backyard's grass. The Duke is revived but has lost all his memories.
Personality[]
While portrayed as a cold-blooded dictator in the first season, he shows himself to be capable of empathy after bonding with Cherie. While they don't get along at first, the two bond over their mutual love of Benihana's, a restaurant. The Duke sacrifices himself for Cherie and her baby, hoping it can make up for his past crimes, showing he feels guilt for his actions.
He is implied to be asexual as he claims that nobody has or will ever touch his dick.
