Banisher of Aku

The Samurai Lord is Jack's father, from the 2001 Cartoon series Samurai Jack.

History

Little is known about the Samurai Lord's early life, we do know that he was the ruler of an area of Japan.  When his lands were threatened by Aku, shapeshifting master of Darkness, he gathered a band of warriors and attempted to stop him, but accidentally freed him in the attempt.

Afterwards, Aku imprisoned the Samurai Lord and forced him to watch as Aku destroyed his lands. Eventually, Sleipnir freed the Samurai Lord from his imprisonment, and the Samurai Lord was taken to the Gods, Odin, Ra, and Brahma, who forged him a Sword taht could hurt Aku. After that, The Samurai Lord fought and imprisoned Aku.

Years later, the Samurai Lord had seemingly rebuilt his kingdom and had a son when Aku was released from his imprisonment. Aku managed to capture the Samurai Lord again before he could reach the sword. The Samurai Lord was last seen as an old slave of Aku, talking to his son before Jack tried to kill the demon.
