~ Tael hinting on the Four Giants |
The Four Giants are the overarching protagonists of the 2000 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. They are gargantuan, orange-skinned, humanoid figures, that are the guardian deities of Termina.
History[]
While it is unknown how the giants appear, they seem to be ancient beings older than Termia itself and having befriended Skull Kid.
The Legend of Four Giants[]
After some time of the world of Termina being at peace, the Giants decide to take 100 steps in each direction, creating the regions of Termina, but their friend, seeing this as being abandoned, took his anger out on the citizens of Termina. The Giants told him to return to the heavens or they would destroy him, with him deciding to go with them.
At some point, the Skull Kid somehow returns to Termina and finds Majora's Mask. He imprisons them in masks and had them guarded by each of the temple’s bosses. However, they were eventually rescued by Link and helps him stop the moon from destroying Termina. After Link defeats Majora, they return to slumber while making peace with the Skull Kid, presumably continuing to guard Termina.

The Giant Item Cards are used in the Clock Town area of the Map Battle to unlock the Grassy Playfield inside the Moon section of the Termina map. In the Rewards Map Adventure Battle "The Giants Gather", giant Bokoblins take the Giants' role.
