The Humane Seven.
The Equestria Girls, also known as the Humane Seven, are the titular main protagonists of the My Little Pony spin-off franchise of the same name. They are the humanized version of the Mane Six, including Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi.

Role in the Franchise[]
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013 film)[]
All the members of the Humane Seven appear in this film. Before Sunset Shimmer redeemed herself at the end of the film, they were known as the Mane Six. Their organization was created by Princess Twilight Sparkle, who came to their world to get her crown back from their former archenemy, Sunset Shimmer. Eventually, they gathered up together to help Twilight Sparkle receive her crown by helping her win the Fall Formal Dance at the school. Then, they all team up to stop Sunset Shimmer and started to help her learn the power of friendship.
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls 2 - Rainbow Rocks[]
In this movie, the Humane Seven (without Princess Twilight Sparkle) first appears when they and the students at their school are make their own posters of each of their groups for the musical showcase. After their principals, Celestia and Luna, inform them about the musical showcase, the girls go into their band room to practice their songs. Therefore, when rehearsing, the physical appearances of their pony version such as wings, tails, and ears started appearing on their bodies. This makes them all wonder why it happens.
After this, Sunset Shimmer was called to the office to give a tour around the school to the new students Adagio Dazzle Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk (also later known as the Dazzlings, the main antagonists of the movie). Later during the film, the Dazzlings appear in the school cafeteria, singing a cursed song to hypnotize the students to fight over the showcase. Despite this, the Humane Seven were the only ones who were able to survive the cursed song with some unexplained reasons. For this situation, the Humane Seven tried to report the Dazzlings to their principals, but unfortunately failed to because Celestia and Luna were hypnotized by the Dazzlings' songs as well, and also told them replacing the musical showcase with the battle of the bands is a great idea. So right then, Sunset Shimmer wrote a letter to Princess Twilight and Princess Celestia about everything that happened, causing Twilight to learn about the true identity of the three new girls, the Sirens, and for her to go to Canterlot High once again to help her friends defeat them.
Overall, because of Princess Twilight Sparkle's visit, they were able to defeat the Dazzlings/the Sirens during the battle of bands and broke the hypnotizing spell that they have put on the students.
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls 3 - Friendship Games[]
In this film, a new member of the Humane Seven is discovered, human Twilight Sparkle. During the beginning of the film, she first appears when she was in a mysterious disguise to suck in the magic of the mirror portal to Equestria with a device and returning to her school, before Twilight was able to escape Crystal Prep High School with, she was spotted and chased by Sunset Shimmer. Later, at her room at the school, she started to make a new device from the other one to track energy at Canterlot High. Back at Canterlot High School, way before the friendship games between the Crystal Prep students and Canterlot High students started, Sunset Shimmer and her friends was being very curious of what the mysterious Twilight Sparkle was doing to the mirror portal, wanting to figure it out.
As soon as they all planned to get victory over Crystal Prep, back at the other school, Twilight was seen when she was finishing up her device alongside her pet and partner, Spike. All of a sudden, one of the principals, Dean Cadance to let her know about the school rules about pets and that she wants her to come to Principal Cinch's office because Cinch wanted Twilight to join the friendship games which she agreed to without wanting it.
When was then the Crystal Prep students (including Twilight) came over to Canterlot for the friendship games, Twilight was surprised of how everyone that she never met knew her name, including the Humane Seven. Then each time she met the members of the Humane Seven separately, her device started to suck in their magic in an unconscious, not even Twilight herself who created the device knew that it could do that, making her concern of how to stop it. As a matter of fact, it also started to destroy the human world by making another portal to Equestria. As soon after Sunset Shimmer figured that out, she yelled to her by saying "Is there anything you do know!? Like how to get our magic back?! Or how to fix the portal to Equestria?! You were supposed to be so smart, but did you ever think that you should be messing around with things you don't understand!?", making Twilight cry. While that time, Principal Cinch was watching of what happened and were arguing over it with the other principals of what they should do to the games because of it.
Principal Cinch and the other Crystal Prep students, went over to Twilight and told her to unleash the magic that the device has to get victory. Although Twilight did release the magic it contains, it didn't go the way that they wanted, because instead of winning, the problem got even worse by making her transform into her new and evil counterpart, Midnight Sparkle. Soon as her transformation was over, she started to break everything in their world and her desire to learn about magic grew. Sunset Shimmer tried to tell Twilight that she once felt the same way too but was wrong and she told her that there is a better way to learn about it, Midnight Sparkle, on the other hand, neglected Sunset's words. Therefore, Sunset held the device Twilight invented which began to raise the magic that each member of the Humane Seven held. She smashed the device to the ground, turning into a new version of herself to defeat Midnight and eventually succeeded. Twilight turned back into normal self once more, apologizing to Sunset Shimmer and to everyone else which she was forgiven. As a result, Twilight quit being a student at Crystal Prep and transferred to Canterlot High to be a Wondercolt and a new member of the Humane Seven and Princess Twilight Sparkle was a little late on a mission after her time travel battle as she sees her human counterpart and thinks it "make that the second strangest".

Just like the films, the Humane Seven spends a lot of time together, stop their enemies, and learn the magic of friendship. However, Princess Twilight Sparkle doesn't ever enter the human world during the whole series, but she did appear in the digital series films "Forgotten Friendship" and "Spring Breakdown".

- Princess Twilight Sparkle was the original leader of the Humane Seven during the first two Equestria Girls films, but leaves the human world for good after the third film due to being replaced by her counterpart Sci-Twi.
