The Intruder is the main protagonist of the Poppy Playtime Indie Horror franchise.
They are a former worker from Playtime Co. who came back to look for the company's staff.
Overview[]
The Intruder has not talked and the only known information about them is that they were formerly an employee for Playtime Co., but either left their job, took a vacation, got sick, was replaced by another employee, or were fired.
Appearance[]
The Intruder is a human, but their physical appearance is not seen in-game, and any surfaces that could reflect the Intruder's appearance are shown as shadows. The Intruder's VHS avatar is also just a faceless yellow mannequin. It is, however, known that the Intruder is 5'10" to 6'0". With the GrabPack, they hold giant hands on each arm of different color.
Personality[]
The Intruder is a determined individual, returning to the factory where people disappeared a decade ago and continuing to see their journey through. Their determination appears to stem from atonement, as it's heavily implied they played a role in the experiments' creation. They are very intelligent, as they effectively utilizes the environment to their advantage, whether it's for traversal purposes, solving puzzles, or fighting back against monsters. The Intruder also has more of a flight-than-fight instinct, often running away from monsters and only fighting back when cornered and given a chance. But in the end the Intruder ultimately outsmarts each monster and defeats them one by one.
Powers & Abilities[]
The Intruder is shown to be agile in their movements, being able to turn around corners, scale in any direction and even run quickly, while still holding the GrabPack. This is mostly shown when being chased by Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs.
With the Grabpack (both iterations), the Intruder is able to reach long distances, propel themselves or pull/collect an object. It is also capable of connecting circuits, acting as a wire. There is a green hand capable of storing electricity for a maximum of 10 seconds, while a purple hand (exclusive to the 2.0 version) can propel the user in the direction that booster pads of the same color face towards. An orange hand (also exclusive to the 2.0 version), modeled more like a finger gun can shoot 5 flares at the cost of being able to be launched forward & used for electrical wiring puzzles. Thanks to the Intruder's agility, when their GrabPack is pulling a heavy object, they can still move around with ease.
