Biography[]
At a unknown point in time, The Wind Fish went into a deep sleep during which his dreams created Koholit Island and its populace. A part of The Wind Fish's spirit took the form of an owl to watch over Koholit as it slept, but nightmares invaded the island and prevented the deity from awakening to gain control of the land. Link would eventually wash ashore on Koholit Island where he would meet The Owl upon retrieving his sword and learn that he must collect the Instruments of the Sirens in order to awaken The Wind Fish and leave Koholit. The Owl would guide Link to the locations of each instrument as the green clad hero gradually realises the true nature of the island; that it is a dream which would disappear with all its inhabitants if The Wind Fish is aroused from its slumber. Regardless, Link would continue to follow The Owl's instructions and obtain every instrument to play before The Wind Fish's Egg on top of Mt. Tamaranch. The Owl reappears once more after defeating the final nightmare within the egg to reveal its role as guardian of the dream world and thanks Link for rescuing The Wind Fish. As the deity finally awakens, Koholit Island begins to disappear, but The Wind Fish tells Link that it may one day recall the dream as it lives on in its memories.
