The Wolf (Vargen) is a character from the swedish cartoons Bamse. He is the former World champion of Meaness and one of Bamse's best friends. He is voiced by Shebly Niavarani in the cinematic movies. The Wolf or Vargen is a supporting character in the Swedish comic series Bamse. He started as one of Bamse's worst enemies, until Bamse befriended him and he redeemed himself.
Biography[]
The life of the Wolf hasn't been easy. He became an orphan when he was only six months old after a wild fire. His mother putted him in a bucket in the river so he would managed to survive. After several days on the river Baby Wolf was founded by three villainous wolves named Slugger, Tyker and Urk who raised him although they weren't alway nice to him. They usually beat him or let him starve.
While the Wolf grew up his bad dads taught him to steal. While he grew up he met a wolf-girl named Virginia whom he got a crush on. When his dads got in prison the Wolf learned to read and got as a delivery boy, but he got fired when the store manager discovered he used to steal. After he heard the saying "Once a thief, always a thief" he decided to become one.
While the years passed The wolf became "The world champion of Badness" and becane an Honor member in the club "Tuffa tuffingars förening".
But after he got defeated but Bamse and made him realize everyone gets sad if he steal their things the Wolf decided to quit being a villain and join Bamse's group.
Since he got friendlier the Wolf usually is bullied of by the Wolf-cousins, The Pirates and Knocke and Smocke.
Movies and Cartoons.[]
In most of the cartoons between the 70's and 90¨'s, the Wolf was the main antagonist in three of them until he became a supporting protagonist of Bamse and the little donkey. Despite this, he mocked Micke-lina when her tail became a broom. After being hit by her, The evil witch Hia Hia placed a spell on him to turn him into a balloon. He almost floated to his doom when Bamse at the last moment caught him and tied him to a stump. At the end of the episode, he reverted back to his normal form much to his delight.
