Thira is the tritagonist of the 2025 video game Doom: The Dark Ages. She is a member of the Night Sentinels and the daughter of King Novik who assisted Doom Slayer during the actions of Prince Ahzrak.

She is voiced by Debra Wilson.

History[]

In command of the forces of Night Sentinels on air-combat, Thira receives her command and order through her father. She first encounter the Slayer when an invasion was launch on the base of the Sentinels, quickly begin to work with him in order to track down the forces of Ahzrak and stop him from destroying the people of the land.

She was later granted power through the heart of Argent D'Nur, but was kidnapped shortly afterward by the prince of Hell Ahzrak. Doom Slayer managed to break through their forces in hopes of rescuing Thira, but the spirit of the ancient sentinel God destabilize him due to mis-interepting that he is doing harm to her.

Thira is later released from her imprisonment as the Doom Slayer kills the prince. She join forces with the rest of the army in the battle against hell. In the end, Thira developed a sense of honor to the Slayer, as she vow to lead her people to the right ideals in honor of the legacy the Slayer has left for them.

Personality[]

Despite being a soldier at war and the daughter of Novik, Thira possessed a tough and honorable in personality. She seems to care for the Doom Slayer to a certain extent, seeing him more than just simply a weapon for the Night Sentinels, but a warrior and a true protector.

In the end, Thira admiration will come to a full rise as she help her people get themselves together in honor of the Slayer's action.

Trivia[]

  • Is it likely that Thira died before the events of Doom Eternal, as Novik is still mentioned as the "King of the Sentinels" and Kira never truly appeared in the game. This leave spectaculation on her fate as of the release of "The Dark Ages".
  • There seems to be a hidden idea that Thira took an interest romantically to the Slayer. However, this is not confirmed or explicitly stated in the game.
  • Thira is the first major female warrior in the Doom franchise, as the previous female main characters (Elizabeth McNeil, Samantha Grimm are scientists. The only exception is Kira Morgan, who is an optional marine in Doom 2 RPG).
