Biography[]
Star Wars: The Clone Wars[]
Clone Lieutenant CC-4477, also known as "Thire," was a clone shock trooper who served in the Coruscant Guard—an elite group of Grand Army clone troopers tasked with keeping the peace on the Galactic Republic capital world of Coruscant during the Clone Wars. Like all clone troopers, Thire was created on the planet Kamino through the genetic source of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. He went through extensive training to prepare him for his role in the Republic Military.
In 22 BBY Thire was assigned to escort Jedi Master Yoda to a mission to meet with the king of Toydararia, Katuunko alongside Jek and Rys on the planet Rugosa. However, Dooku had been expecting this, and sent droid attack cruisers to stop the Republic forces. Yoda, Jek, Thire, and Rys succesfuly landed on the moon Rugosa in escape pod. Thire was able to patch into the King's communication system, allowing Yoda to speak to King Katuunko. Asajj Ventress, who was standing by King Katuunko offered Yoda a challenge: she would have her droid forces try to capture Yoda, and if he defeated them, the Toydarians would then join the Republic, but if the droid forces defeated Yoda, the King would join with the Separatists.
Yoda agreed to the challenge, and him and his troopers made their way through the forest. While fleeing from the droids, Thire was hit by a rocket that was launched from a super battle droid. Yoda took control of a B2 battle droid and made it fire upon it's fellow droids. Droidekas appeared, making it where Yoda and the clones had to flee. Thire and the other clones noticed that they were running low on ammo and they were starting to despair, but Yoda gave words of wisdom to the clones. He informed Thire to have patience, instead of rushing headlong into battle. He also informed them that they may look the same, but the Torce was in all life forms. Yoda, Thire, Jek and Rys fought off droid forces with Thire firing his remaining rocket into an overhanging cliff, which caused an avalanche to crash down upon the droids.
Following his graduation from the ARC training program and a promotion to the rank of commander, Thire was placed as a leader of the Coruscant Guard.
Together with Republic Intelligence Director Armand Isard, the two founded Homeworld Security Command in an effort to centralize and streamline the defense of Coruscant should an attack ever come. A part of Thire, however, always felt as though the Republic would never be able to muster a reliable defense of Coruscant.
Thire's worst fears were realized when General Grievous launched a surprise attack on the capital in the early hours of the morning. Thire's men, in conjunction with Commander Appo's 501st Legion, did their best to keep the Confederacy's droid forces from taking the Senate District. While they were able to halt the Separatist advance, they were powerless to stop the abduction of the Chancellor by Grievous and his MagnaGuards.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith[]
Yoda's words of encouragement on Rugosa, that Thire and his men were all unique despite being clones, stayed with him throughout his service in the Clone Wars. In 19 BBY, as the war drew to an end, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine—alter ego of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious—declared that all Jedi were traitors and enemies of the state. He therefore commanded the clone army to execute Order 66, a hidden protocol authorizing the extermination of the Jedi. The clone troopers obeyed the chancellor without hesitation, having been secretly programmed to comply with Order 66. As a result, Thire also turned against the Jedi and, like his brothers, soon found himself in service to the Galactic Empire that replaced the Republic.
Following Yoda's attempt to cut short the reign of the newly-anointed Emperor Palpatine—Darth Sidious—the Coruscant Guard searched the Galactic Senate Building but could find no evidence of Yoda's demise. Thire, now a commander and in command of the Coruscant Guard detachment guarding the Senate Building, was ordered to find Yoda and reported their lack of progress directly to the Emperor and Mas Amedda, who concluded that the Grand Master was still alive. Sidious ordered Thire to resume the search before sensing that his Sith apprentice, Darth Vader, was in danger on Mustafar. Thire's squad escorted the Emperor to recover the critically wounded Vader after Yoda escaped the Imperial shock troopers with Senator Bail Organa's help.
Thire served as one of Palpatine's personal guards on Coruscant and during off-world trips. As the Empire's grip around the galaxy tightened, Thire saw his shock troopers transformed into the foundation of the Imperial era Coruscant Guard, which was tasked with the security of the Imperial capital.

LEGO Star Wars trilogy[]
Thire makes a cameo when Darth Sidious rescues Vader from Mustafar with a medical bed.
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars[]
Lieutenant Thire is a playable character in the story mission "Ambush", and is unlocked after completing this mission. He has red markings around his helmet's visor, and also one rectangle above each chest plate on the front of his armour. Additionally, half-way down the torso area are two lines curving upwards and towards the center (one on each side). The belt's buckle is also coloured red as opposed to white. Apart from these features, Thire's character design is the same as a standard The Clone Wars Clone Trooper's. In LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Thire is usually armed with a rotary blaster cannon, allowing him to rapidly fire at enemies when the player holds down the fire button. He also has the ability to grapple, perform a single-jump, build, throw an EMP grenade, and place bombs in specially marked Clone Trooper areas. Approximately half-way through the "Ambush", Thire is shot by droids, and his right arm no longer functions. This prompts him to pick up a destroyed Battle Droid's head and use it as a melee weapon instead. Thire can only use the droid's head as a weapon during "Ambush".
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga[]
In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Thire appears with his squad and Palpatine with fishing rod to rescue the fallen Jedi Anakin Skywalker in Mustafar
Personality[]
Like his clone brothers, Thire was trained to become a capable and loyal soldier of the Galactic Republic. He was also dedicated to completing his assignments; at one time, Thire volunteered to remain behind with his men and confront a battalion of battle droids so that Yoda could move forward with their mission on Rugosa. The Jedi Master declined Thire's offer and instructed his troopers to remove their helmets, an order which Thire followed but did not understand. In his mind, there was nothing physically unique about the clones as they were all genetically identical to each other, having been grown from the same template. Yoda contended that although Thire and his brethren were clones, each of them felt uniquely different to him through the Force. He therefore encouraged them to draw strength from their individual traits, such as patience in Thire's case. Upon defeating the droid battalion, Thire felt that he and his men benefited from the teachings of Yoda.
After the Clone Wars, Thire complied with an order to hunt Yoda, by now his former ally-turned-fugitive. As with almost every clone trooper who possessed a control chip in their brain, Thire's programming forced him to follow Order 66 against his will without question or hesitation, despite the long-standing alliance between the clones and their Jedi leaders. In contrast to his turning against the Jedi, Thire remained obedient to the will of Emperor Palpatine.

Trivia[]
- Thire wore a red Coruscant Guard outfit. His armor contained many red markings as well as the emblem of the Coruscant Guard. His helmet was equipped with red macro binoculars; he was also equipped with a pauldron. During the Mission to Rugosa, he fought alongside Yoda, Jek, and Rys. He was injured in combat by a plasma bolt to the calf, for which Yoda severed the barrel of his DC-15A blaster rifle to use as a crutch.
- It's unknown that Thire returned in The Bad Batch second season.
- In The Clone Wars television episode "Ambush", Thire was armed with a blaster rifle, two blaster pistols, and he uses Jek's rocket launcher, not a rotary blaster cannon. Jek, in the episode, uses the cannon primarily, but also carries twin pistols and a rocket launcher, but he never uses it. In the game, they are switched: Thire uses the cannon and Jek uses the launcher. Thire also wore a pauldron and macrobinoculars.
