Thor, also known by her human alias Thonar, is a major character from the Japanese mobile game Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, appearing in the game-original "Ragnarok: Fate of the Gods" storyline. She is a traveling warrior that defends humans and teams up with the Seven Deadly Sins.
She is voiced by Rie Takahashi.
Biography[]
Though most of Thonar's history is currently unknown, she was first encountered by the Seven Deadly Sins shortly after they were transported to the world of Midgaurd. Patrons of the Boar Hat Tavern speak of a wandering warrior that rescued them from demons, and later helps the Sins defeat some criminals claiming to be minions of Loki. After defeating a demonic beast, she states that she has no interest in reward or recognition, and only wants to go around helping people and dispensing justice. However, she continually grows anxious when people speak about the god of justice, Thor, and occasionally refers to her type of justice as "a hammer", hinting that she may in fact be Thor in a human disguise. She takes the criminals away to a prison in a nearby village.
Thonar meets again with the Sins in the tavern, in a different area, amused that the tavern changed its location. She talks with Meliodas about the increase in Giant attacks, and warns him of the priest Vali who is gathering an army for suspicious reasons.
As Thonar travels north, she feels earthquakes that disturb local monsters, which she is forced to fight. When she reaches the northern coast, she witnesses Jormungand attempting to quell the earthquakes and decides not to interfere. The Sins arrive, and she stays and watches the town as they go and investigate Jormungand.
Units[]
Thor as Thonar also appears as HP Attribute and Strength Attribute units. Her HP unit's attacks can ignore enemy defense and cause a bleed effect. Her Ultimate attack deals massive damage to debuffed enemies, and her Unique effect increases her allies' stats when debuffs are removed in Death Matches. Her Strength unit's attacks can remove enemy stances and lower Ultimate Move gauges, and her Unique effect increases her and her allies attack when fighting Skoll and Hati.
Thor in her true form appears as a Speed Attribute unit, with attacks that do massive damage and a Unique effect that makes her invincible when she first drops to low health.
Personality[]
Thonar is selfless and humble, and has an extremely strict view of justice. She believes that justice is absolute and necessary, and travels Midguard dispensing it. However, she does not want recognition or reward (possibly her trying to hide her identity as Thor), actively denying fame and discouraging people from talking about her. She is als shown to be merciful, as she is willing to let criminals attone via redemption or pension and is apologetic towards monsters when she has to kill them.
