~ Thornton facing Troy |

Thornton is an overweight thespian Harbor seal and supporting character of The Reef and it's sequel High Tide.
He is voiced by John Rhys-Davies.
The Reef[]
Thornton serves as the narrator for the film. He is first physically seen at the amphitheater reciting poetry with his shrimp chorus. HE claims to be brave and removed a tank. The next day, When Pi asks him to help him fight Troy, Thornton declines, revealing himself as a phony to his fellow shrimp chorus who angrily leave.
Later Thornton proves himself as he distracts Troy from finishing Pi off. Later when Troy is defeated, He watches Pi propose to Cordelia then preforms again infront of the whole reef.
The Reef 2: High Tide[]
Thornton's role in the sequel is not as big. He mostly shows up as auidtioning for Ronny's talent show. In the climax he shoves a huge rock on one of Troy's cronies trapping him. He then dances at the end.
